An elderly woman leaning heavily on a wooden cane limped down the center aisle. She was clutching a thick manila envelope to her chest.

"I need to speak!" she croaked, her voice trembling but fierce.

It was Eleanor Hayes. The 68-year-old owner of the pharmacy. The victim.

She hadn’t been subpoenaed by the prosecution. The police had actively ignored her calls for two weeks. But she had seen Marcus’s face on the local news the night before and couldn't sleep.

Judge Vance’s face flushed purple. "Who is this woman? Bailiff, remove her from my courtroom instantly!"

"I am the woman who had a loaded .45 caliber pistol shoved in her face!" Eleanor shouted back, refusing to let the bailiff touch her. She pointed a shaking, arthritic finger directly at Marcus. "And that boy is not the man who did it!"

The gallery erupted. The jury leaned forward, eyes wide.

"The man who robbed me was easily six-foot-four! Built like a linebacker!" Eleanor cried out. "And he had a massive black snake tattoo crawling up the left side of his neck! I told the police this! I told Detective Barnes! He didn't write a single word of it down!"

Judge Vance slammed his gavel repeatedly, the veins in his neck bulging. "Order! I will hold you in contempt of court! This is entirely irregular and inadmissible!"

"I don't care about your rules!" Eleanor fired back, tears of pure frustration in her eyes. She ripped open the manila envelope and slammed a glossy 8x10 photograph onto the prosecution's table. "The police only took the video from my front door. They never bothered to ask for the footage from my back office!"

The photo was crystal clear. It showed the robber sprinting out the back alley under a bright security light. His hood had slipped down. The snake tattoo on his neck was unmistakably visible.

Miller, the public defender, grabbed the photo and held it up to the jury. "Look at my client's neck!" he yelled over the chaos. Marcus’s neck was completely bare.
