Her name was Patricia Stone.

She had spent thirty years working in federal government before retiring.

She knew exactly what discrimination looked like.

And she knew exactly what abuse of authority looked like.

"This is unacceptable," Patricia said.

Bradley turned toward her.

"Ma'am, you need to mind your own business."

"I'm witnessing what you're doing."

"You're interfering with airport operations."

Patricia raised her phone.

"I'm recording."

Bradley's face tightened.

"You can't record here."

Amara immediately corrected him.

"That's not an accurate statement."

Bradley looked at her.

"You really don't know when to stop, do you?"

Amara met his eyes.

"No."

That answer changed something.

Bradley reached for his radio.

"Security to Gate C24."

 The Briefcase

Airport security supervisor Janet Morrison arrived within minutes.

Bradley immediately began talking.

"Possible fraud. Fake identification. Suspicious passenger."

Janet looked at Amara.

"Ma'am, may I see your identification?"

"I've already provided it."

Bradley interrupted.

"It's fake."

Janet glanced at him.

"Are you certain?"

"Absolutely."

Amara looked at Janet.

"I am requesting that you independently verify my credentials."

Janet hesitated.

Bradley had worked here for twelve years.

She had known him for years.

She trusted him.

That was her mistake.

Bradley suddenly noticed Amara's leather briefcase.

"What's in there?"

"Federal documents."

"Open it."

"No."

Bradley stepped around the counter.

"Then I'll open it."

"Mr. Hutchinson, you do not have authorization to search my personal property."

He ignored her.

He grabbed the briefcase.

Amara's voice became firmer.

"Put that down."

Bradley opened it.

Papers spilled across the counter.

Federal letterhead.

Court documents.

Investigation summaries.

Confidential files.

Bradley picked up one document.

"Look at this."

He turned toward the crowd.

"She's got fake federal paperwork."

Carlos stared at the documents.

"Bradley, those look official."

"You're still talking?"

Bradley dropped the document.

Amara's face had changed.

Her anger was no longer personal.

These were government records.

Some contained confidential investigative material.

"You have just interfered with federal property," she said.

Bradley laughed.

"Federal property?"

He held up her credentials.

"This fake badge?"

He waved it in the air.

"You really thought this would fool us?"

The terminal seemed to grow quieter.

Amara looked at him.

"Mr. Hutchinson, I strongly advise you to stop."

Bradley smiled.

Instead, he went further.

 The Accusation

"I think she's running a scam," Bradley announced.

Several passengers exchanged uncomfortable looks.

"Maybe she stole those documents."

"Maybe she's impersonating a federal officer."

Amara said nothing.

Bradley became more confident with every accusation.

"Security should search her."

Janet looked uncertain.

"Mr. Hutchinson—"

"She refused to leave."

Amara interrupted.

"Because I have a valid ticket."

"Not anymore."

"You destroyed it."

"Exactly."

Patricia shook her head.

"Everyone here saw you tear it up."

Bradley turned on her.

"Ma'am, step away."

"No."

"I can have you removed."

"For recording?"

"For interfering."

Patricia held up her phone.

"You can try."

The tension at the gate grew.

Meanwhile, Flight 447 was waiting.

Captain James Murphy sat in the cockpit, watching the clock.
