"Stop right there, ma'am. You don't walk out of that store wearing stolen luxury," he barked, his voice laced with unyielding prejudice.
She didn't flinch. Stopping mid-stride, she turned slowly. Her flawless skin glowed in the sunlight as she looked him up and down. Her expression melted into one of absolute, mocking disdain before she pointed a perfectly manicured finger right back at him.
"Watch your little parade already look stupid," she retorted, her voice dripping with venomous elegance.
The officer’s face turned a dangerous shade of crimson. He stepped squarely into her personal space, attempting to use his sheer physical size to intimidate her.
"Store staff identified you, and you better cooperate now," he growled, confident he had cornered his prey.
Instead of cowering, a brilliant, triumphant smile broke across her face. She looked past his shoulder toward the curb just as a massive, glossy black SUV pulled up silently. The tinted rear window glided down, revealing a handsome man in a flawless light silver-grey suit. He radiated a quiet, absolute power that instantly made the charcoal-clad officers look small and foolish.
