The officer nodded slowly, taking notes while absorbing the stark contrast between the composed, respectful demeanor of the victims and the frantic, defensive posturing coming from the other side of the courtyard. He walked over to where Blair and her companions were gathered, bracing himself for the inevitable explosion of entitlement. Blair immediately thrust herself forward, her face flushed with righteous indignation, utterly convinced that she was the victim of a grave injustice. “Can we try? Sure! What’s going on?” she blurted out before the officer could even ask a standard opening question. “So, basically, this pool lately has had a lot of pool hoppers, okay? And I like to enjoy my pool in peace. I have two girls that don’t even come down here anymore because of all these pool hoppers! They don’t even enjoy it because we know who is here in the town now. So, apparently, I think they had a birthday party or something, but all I did was walk by, right here, and see the Louis Vuitton guy—he’s the one who started it all, that piece of s***! I asked him, I said, ‘Do you have a fob?’ because that’s what everyone’s saying! It’s not just me, other people are living here and asking people for fobs. But I said, ‘You’re only allowed to have two guests!’ Meanwhile, this whole pool is filled with a f***ing party! These people don’t have fobs! You’re only allowed to have two guests, not twenty! So we’re over here minding our own business, and this whole crew over here comes over and bomb-rushes me! I had two girls trying to kill me! So I tried to defend myself, but now my phone is gone! They stole my phone because I recorded the whole thing!”

The officer listened patiently to her breathless, rambling tirade, letting her dig her own grave with every exaggerated accusation. “What kind of phone was it, ma’am?” he asked calmly. “It was an iPhone, a smaller one, not the big one! An iPhone seven or ten, shoot, I don’t even know! But I’m just saying, I put it on record, I was recording the whole thing, and they stole it right out of my hands!” Blair claimed with absolute conviction. But as additional officers fanned out across the complex to speak with independent witnesses who had watched the entire confrontation unfold from their second-story balconies, a very different, entirely consistent version of reality continued to be confirmed. An independent witness—a neutral resident who had no affiliation with either family—approached the lead officer and offered a definitive statement. “She started all of that,” the witness declared firmly, pointing directly at Blair. “She started making racist remarks to this entire group over here. One of the women went over to ask what her problem was, and Blair literally swung on her first! She threw the first punch at the girl in the pink bikini, and then a full-blown fight broke out because Blair couldn't handle being questioned.”
