But before his fingers could touch them, the sharp heel of Victoria's designer stiletto slammed down onto the keyring, pinning it to the ground.

Chapter 3: The Humiliation Arthur paused, still bent over, looking at the sharp heel resting on the keys. He slowly straightened up, his face impassive, though a flicker of sorrow crossed his eyes.

"Pick them up," Victoria commanded, her voice dripping with disdain.

"Madam, your shoe is on the keys," Arthur said softly, his voice raspy but calm.

"I said, pick them up, you useless old fool!" Victoria shrieked.

The courtyard had gone dead silent. Dozens of wealthy guests, socialites, and hotel staff had stopped in their tracks. The flashing of the paparazzi cameras ceased. All eyes were on the young heiress and the elderly valet.

Arthur did not move. He stood there, maintaining his quiet dignity. "Madam, I cannot pick them up if you are standing on them. Please, allow me to assist you."

To Victoria, this calm, reasonable response was the ultimate insult. In her world, when she spoke, people scrambled. They apologized. They groveled. This old man in a cheap uniform was defying her. Her face turned red with fury.

She stepped off the keys, but as Arthur leaned down once more to retrieve them, Victoria lost whatever shred of self-control she had left.

"Don't you dare touch my property with your filthy hands!" she screamed. She lunged forward and grabbed his arm, her long nails digging into the fabric of his maroon jacket.

Arthur gasped slightly at the sudden pain, but before he could pull away, Victoria raised her other hand and brought it across his face in a vicious, echoing slap.

SMACK.

The sound rang out like a gunshot in the quiet courtyard. Arthur stumbled backward, his hand instinctively going to his cheek. A bright red mark in the shape of a handprint immediately began to bloom on his weathered skin.

He lowered his head. He said nothing.

"You are nothing!" Victoria spat, stepping toward him, her finger jabbing at his chest. "You are a peasant! You open doors for people who actually matter! You should be begging for my forgiveness, you pathetic old man!"

The crowd watched in stunned silence. Rich businessmen, famous actresses, powerful politicians—they all stood there, paralyzed by the sheer audacity of the scene.

Nobody defended him. Nobody stepped forward. Everyone just watched. Some looked uncomfortable, averting their eyes. Others watched with morbid curiosity, as if it were a scene in a play.

The other valets looked terrified, wanting to help Arthur but paralyzed by the fear of losing their jobs if they crossed a VIP guest like Victoria Sterling.

Arthur remained silent, his head bowed, bearing the abuse with a stoicism that was heartbreaking to witness. He did not raise his voice. He did not strike back. He simply absorbed the cruelty of a world that had seemingly forgotten how to be kind.

Chapter 4: The Intervention Suddenly, the massive brass and glass doors of The Grand Azure flew open with such force that they banged against the exterior walls.

A young man in a flawlessly tailored charcoal suit rushed out. He was tall, athletic, and possessed an aura of absolute authority. His eyes quickly scanned the courtyard, taking in the frozen crowd, the red Lamborghini, the furious young woman, and finally, the elderly valet with his head bowed and a hand pressed to his cheek.

It was Julian. Everyone at The Grand Azure knew Julian. He was the newly appointed CEO of the entire Azure Hospitality Group, a prodigy in the business world known for his sharp mind and uncompromising standards.

Julian’s eyes locked onto the bright red mark on Arthur’s face. His expression shifted from mild concern to absolute, terrifying fury.

He moved across the courtyard with terrifying speed, shoving past a billionaire tech mogul without a second glance.

"STOP!" Julian roared, his voice booming like thunder, shaking the very foundation of the courtyard.

The crowd gasped. Victoria froze, her arm still half-raised as if she were about to strike Arthur again. She turned, an irritated retort on her lips, but the words died in her throat when she saw who it was.

"Julian?" Victoria said, her tone instantly shifting from demonic rage to a saccharine, flirty sweetness. She knew Julian well; her father had been trying to broker a massive merger with the Azure Group for months. "Oh, Julian, thank goodness you're here. This absolute peasant of a valet was just—"

"Step away from him," Julian said, his voice deadly quiet and vibrating with suppressed rage.

Victoria blinked, confused. "Excuse me? He disrespected me! He needs to be fired immediately. In fact, I'm going to ensure he never works in this city again."

Julian stepped directly between Victoria and Arthur. He turned his back to the heiress, placing a gentle hand on Arthur's trembling shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked, his voice suddenly thick with emotion.

Arthur nodded slowly, finally looking up. "I am fine, son. Do not make a scene."

The word hung in the air. Son.

Victoria let out a sharp, mocking laugh. "Son? What is he talking about? Julian, who is this senile old man?"

Julian slowly turned around to face Victoria. The look in his eyes made her take a physical step back.
