Blade stepped forward.

“My business is with the girl.”

Stone answered immediately.

“The girl fixed our bike.”

He looked at the entire opposing group.

“That makes her family.”

Blade’s expression changed.

Riley climbed off the motorcycle.

Then she reached into her jacket.

The medical documents.

The ones Raymond had hidden inside the motorcycle frame.

She held them up.

“These belonged to Danny Voss.”

Blade went still.

Riley began reading.

The medical records revealed something Blade had either forgotten or refused to accept.

Danny’s lung disease had begun before he ever worked for Raymond Cole.

He had been exposed to dangerous materials at other shops.

The damage was already progressing when he met Raymond.

Raymond had not killed him.

Instead, the documents showed that Raymond had spent nearly everything he owned trying to save Danny.

Specialists.

Treatments.

Experimental programs.

Raymond’s savings had been destroyed trying to keep Danny alive.

“He spent the last two years of Danny’s life trying to save him,” Riley said.

“And the rest of his life trying to understand why he couldn’t.”

Blade’s hands began to shake.

Riley looked directly at him.

“You knew.”

Blade looked down.

Because somewhere inside those records was a truth he had not been able to accept.

Danny’s death had not given him a single villain.

Grief had nowhere clean to go.

So Blade had chosen Raymond.

Then he had chosen the motorcycle.

Then nineteen years of hatred.

“You chose someone to blame,” Riley said.

“And then you built your entire life around the blame.”

Stone stepped forward.

“You lied to the club.”

Blade said nothing.

For the first time in nineteen years, he looked tired.

Not angry.

Not dangerous.

Just tired.

The kind of tiredness that comes when a person finally puts down something they have carried for so long they no longer remember who they were before it.

The Home Her Father Built

Blade was removed from the road that day.

Not with violence.

Not with revenge.

With truth.

The Scorpions left after realizing they had been brought into someone else’s nineteen-year war.

Iron Legion returned home.

And Riley returned with them.

The motorcycle was placed in the center of the compound garage.

Not as a monument to Raymond.

Not anymore.

It belonged to Riley now.

A few days later, Stone called the entire club together.

He stood before hundreds of members.

Riley stood beside him.

Stone cleared his throat.

“There’s something all of you need to know.”

Riley knew immediately what was coming.

Drift looked at her.

She nodded.

Stone held up the photograph Riley had carried for years.

Then he explained.

Raymond Cole had a daughter.

She had been lost inside the foster system.

Raymond had spent his final years trying to find her.

And somehow, before he died, he had built a machine designed to wait for her.

Stone turned toward Riley.
