Maya watched in stunned silence as Sandra dragged a lounge chair into the sun, slathered herself in tanning oil, and dove gracefully into the deep end of the pool. Sandra spent three hours swimming, sunbathing, and talking loudly on her phone, completely oblivious to the cameras tracking her every move. The sheer, unadulterated audacity of the act left Maya speechless. Sandra wasn't just trespassing; she had integrated Maya's private pool into her weekly routine.

Over the next four weeks, Maya did not confront Sandra. In the corporate world, Maya was a master strategist, and she knew that confronting a deeply entitled person without overwhelming leverage would only result in gaslighting and denial. Instead, Maya built a case.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, like clockwork, Sandra would bypass the gate latch and spend the afternoon lounging by the pool. Sometimes she brought a book; sometimes she brought a cocktail. Maya meticulously downloaded every single video clip. She organized them into a heavily encrypted folder on her laptop, categorized by date and timestamp. She took high-resolution screenshots of Sandra physically breaking the latch on the gate.

By the end of August, Maya had compiled a staggering amount of digital evidence. She had a thick, physical folder printed out, containing dozens of glossy photographs and legal documents proving her absolute ownership of the property. But simply handing the evidence to the police felt insufficient. Sandra had violated Maya's peace of mind, treating her like an invisible entity. Maya wanted to deliver a message that Sandra would never, ever forget. She needed a drastic measure that would completely strip Sandra of her delusional entitlement.

The summer heat wave reached its peak in early September. The forecast predicted a blistering week ahead. It was the perfect time to strike. Maya took the entire week off work, staying quietly inside her air-conditioned home. On Monday morning, she called a professional pool maintenance company.
